Join us for a fun, hands-on painting experience with local expressive wildlife artist Jess Harrison at ArtMatters Gallery, 3 Pitt Street, Gladstone.
This class welcomes all experience levels — from curious beginners to budding artists! It’s all about having fun, exploring colours, and letting creativity run free. There are no wrong ways to create, come discover your inner artist, play with colours and see what happens, there's no need for art to be perfect!
Participants will be given a black-and-white source image to work from, encouraging them to choose their own colours to bring the artwork to life. They’ll also explore how contrast and colour can enhance their painting and make it visually striking.
Date & Time: Sunday, 14th September 2025 | 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Price: $35 per student (all materials provided)
Mediums & Materials: Acrylic paints, paint pens, brushes, palettes, easels, black-and-white reference images, and a page of painting techniques they can include.
Attendees finish the class with a beautiful creation in hand, something they can be proud of and share with family and friends!
Parents of kids are welcome to stay and enjoy the beautiful ArtMatters gardens or return when the class finishes.
It can get a little messy mixing children with paint, so please ensure your child wears something old.
Bring snacks and water if desired.
